FACULTY ACHIEVEMENT -2024
The Institution of Engineers (India), Odisha State Centre, Bhubaneswar recently conferred the prestigious Er. Nanda Nadan Das Award to Dr. Kamalini Devi and Dr. Jnana Ranjan Khuntia, Assistant Professors from the Department of Civil Engineering, CBIT Hyderabad. Their accolade recognized for their research on “Unsteady flow modeling of Dam breach Parameters using HEC-RAS: A Case study at Hirakud Dam.” The study delved into the intricacies of unsteady flow dynamics, particularly focusing on the Hirakud Dam scenario. The methodical work combines theoretical knowledge with real-world use which contributes to advancing knowledge in the field of dam safety and management practices globally.
Prof. C. V. Narasimhulu, Principal and Dr. K. Jagannadha Rao, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. G. N. R. Prasad, PRO-CBIT along with other faculty members extended heartfelt congratulations to the awardees. Principal and Head-CED appreciated the research work and expressed that the commendable achievement highlights the institution’s commitment to fostering innovative research in the realm of Civil Engineering.
STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT -2023
On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, a team of three students from the CBIT – IGBC Student Chapter visited Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology – VJIT (A), Hyderabad delivered a technical presentation on green building technologies. The presentation secured the 1st place among 56 other presentations. The team includes Chandra Vikas, Abdullah, and Snigdha, and they were rewarded with a cash prize of 2000 INR for their performance. The team worked under the guidance of Dr. Kamalini Devi, Assistant Professor CED, CBIT.
