The School of Management Studies (SMS), CBIT, Hyderabad offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme with an approved intake of 120, affiliated to Osmania University and approved by AICTE. The programme is implemented following the Outcome Based Education (OBE) framework in alignment with NBA guidelines, with a structured approach to outcome attainment and continuous improvement.
SMS is supported by a strong team of 17 full-time faculty members and 1 Adjunct Faculty, of which 16 faculty members hold Ph.D. degrees (one faculty has submitted the doctoral thesis). The faculty actively contribute to research across multiple verticals, including Marketing, Human Resources, Analytics, Women Studies, Education, and interdisciplinary management areas, thereby strengthening both teaching and research culture.
The teaching–learning process integrates case studies, projects, mandatory internships, industry visits, guest lectures, and ICT-enabled pedagogy to ensure industry relevance and experiential learning. The department maintains active industry collaborations through MoUs, facilitating live projects, internships, and placement opportunities.
SMS has a consistent record of student placements, with leading recruiters such as Deloitte, Alliant Group, Asian Paints, ITC, and Franklin Templeton. The programme is offered under an institution accredited with NAAC A++ (2023), and the department has applied for NBA accreditation, reinforcing its commitment to quality assurance and academic excellence.

The postgraduate program in management is offered with the objective of imparting students with the technical know-how that is essential for becoming successful as a manager.
